Direct Ownership Declaration
In full accordance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and international advertising transparency standards, TelecomExplained makes the following explicit disclosure:
Corporate Affiliation Statement
TelecomExplained is owned, operated, and funded by the same engineering and product team responsible for three commercial telecommunications platforms:
- GearSMS: A commercial infrastructure provider of non-VoIP SMS verification phone numbers and long-term rental lines.
- CodeBypass: A testing and developer tool for evaluating SMS OTP bypass scenarios and verification deliverability.
- eSIMFire: A retail provider of international travel eSIM profiles with prepaid global data connectivity.
Why We Maintain This Educational Publication
Operating telecommunications services gives our engineering team direct, granular visibility into carrier interconnection protocols, SMS aggregator delivery latency, Line Type Intelligence (LTI) lookup behavior, and international roaming latency models.
We created TelecomExplained to share this architectural knowledge openly. Most educational content in the cellular space is either behind proprietary paywalls or published as low-quality affiliate listicles. Our goal is to provide a clean, authoritative reference library on telecom standards.
Editorial Independence Safeguards
To prevent commercial bias from compromising the accuracy of our reference materials, we enforce the following editorial policies:
- Clear Distinction Between Editorial and Commercial: We do not publish disguised sales pitches. Whenever GearSMS, CodeBypass, or eSIMFire are referenced, their relationship is explicitly stated in that context.
- Fair Technical Comparisons: In all comparative guides and benchmarks, our owned platforms are evaluated using the identical testing methodology, metrics, and criteria applied to external competitors.
- Transparent Limitations: We openly document the technical limitations and drawbacks of virtual and temporary numbers, including verification rejections by banking institutions and carrier fraud heuristic flags.
- No Paid External Endorsements: We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or gifts from third-party telecommunications companies in exchange for favorable reviews or editorial coverage.
Third-Party Affiliate Links & Compensation
In addition to our owned platforms, some external links on our blog to third-party hardware (such as YubiKeys for FIDO2 2FA), books, or independent software tools may contain standard affiliate tracking codes. If you purchase through these links, TelecomExplained may earn a small referral commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend external tools that our engineering staff has tested and verified.
